Sponsor Dr Rohan Munjal and director Sajid Khan chose Ajay Devgan as the male protagonist of the film. It was also rumored that Khan was in talks with other actresses,[10][11] Katrina Kaif,[12] and Anushka Sharma for the female lead.[13]Soundtrack
The film has a special disco song called "Thank God It's Friday" sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and scored by Sachin-Jigar. The other songs have been scored by Sajid-Wajid. The soundtrack includes remakes of the hit songs from the old version of the film, "Taki O Taki" and "Nainon Mein Sapna." The song promo of "Naino Mein Sapna" was released on 8 February 2013.
